The team, led by Satish Tadikonda, has deep technology experience along with relevant industry perspective. This blend of technology and deep domain expertise is the key ingredient for the success of the company

Satish Tadikonda

President
Satish Tadikonda has over 19 years of experience working on both long-term strategic initiatives and quick win solutions in the Life Sciences and Information Technology sectors. In addition to a deep understanding of drug discovery and development processes, Satish has hands-on experience with a number of R&D systems, including LIMS, SDMS, CTMS/CDMS, EDC, eCTD etc. He also has headed the computer system validation efforts for a number of regulated enterprise systems, in addition to other engagements spanning strategy to systems development and implementation. Satish is also familiar with industry standards such as CDISC, DICOM etc. Satish has strong program and project management experience. He has managed the full cycle application development, including business and systems analysis, process mapping and definition and system design, development and implementation. Such engagements have been completed for a range of clients such as Aventis, Genzyme, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Biogen IDEC, Microbia, Mercury Computers etc.

At Virtify, Satish has been involved in a number of projects involving resource management and clinical trial management, validation of enterprise LIMS, CTD/eCTD etc. Prior to Virtify, Satish was the founder of Tribiosys, Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based scientific consulting company. Before this venture, Satish was the CEO/President of Enmed, Inc., a clinical trial and data management systems development company. At Enmed, Satish was responsible for conceptualizing and developing a suite of products designed to improve the speed and efficiency of clinical development, including electronic data capture, real-time reporting of serious adverse events etc. The suite of products supported eCRF generation, investigator, site, clinical data, medical image and document management.

Prior to Enmed, Satish worked at EPIX Medical, Inc., where as Director of Imaging Science, he led the company's imaging department. Early in his career, Satish was an engineer with Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group, working on developing innovative MRI, Ultrasound and Telemedicine products. He holds a Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India. Satish has published and presented over 25 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on topics in medical imaging, clinical trial data management and technology in the Life Sciences.

Ikram Baig

Chief Technology Officer
Ikram Baig is Virtify’s Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for setting the architectural and product strategies and plans at Virtify. Ikram also chairs Virtify’s Virtx Platform Group, ensuring that product development, integration, and process organizations align technology capabilities with product direction, particularly in the areas of Electronic Submissions. In addition, he serves on the FDA’s Structured Product Labeling (SPL) Testing Committee and is actively involved in defining emerging standards such as Regulatory Product Submission (RPS), eStability, SAFE, CDISC etc.

Over the past 7 years, Ikram has worked with top tier biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations in architecting, designing, developing and delivering innovative software solutions. He has led a number of projects in the area of enterprise clinical and regulatory information management, electronic submissions, LIMS, eCTD, SPL/PLR etc. Ikram is proficient in both Microsoft and Java-based technologies, and is also well-versed with GAMP, FDA and ISO guidelines governing software quality assurance and validation. Prior to Virtify, he worked as Technical Lead at Tribiosys, Inc. Ikram has an MS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.

Varghese Jacob

General Manager (India)
Varghese Jacob, as General Manager of Virtify’s India Operations, brings to the team over 18 years of rich experience in successfully managing large IT projects covering infrastructure, embedded, networking and OLTP projects with a leading TATA group company. He has extensively worked in Banking, Transportation, Telecomm and Defence Sectors in India and abroad on crucial projects. His project management skills and qualifications in the vital competency areas of Project Management (PMP from PMI, USA) and Quality Management (CSQA from SAI, USA) and training in Six Sigma will help continually enhance organization's proven delivery capability He has built strong technical teams with his excellent communication, training & motivating skills who have been working in multi location, geographically and culturally diverse global projects. His guiding, mentoring and convincing capability has been appreciated by his peers and customers. He was selected for a unique International Leadership training at Singapore '04 and returned with honors for the Indian team in some of the multinational events.

He has provided training on technology management and up-gradation to top management and senior managerial staff of Banks at RBI - the apex banking regulator of India, ASCI, ESCI, HICKS Sudan and Syrian Railways. Has in depth understanding of many new technologies. As an integral part of his responsibilities has demonstrated skills in planning, review, design, implementation, life cycle management and support for various products, services and integration projects in India, China, Middle East, UK and USA. Completed many critical and challenging assignments including Outsourced Supplier's Audit assessment for Motorola, Integrated Multi Passenger Reservation System for the entire South Central Railways, Highly secure & complex Campus LAN and WAN solutions and application integration for the country. Notable among these are the Indian Financial Network (INFINET) a blend of VSAT and Terrestrial dedicated nationwide links for RBI and Defence Rapid Online Network Access for DRDO covering 51 Defense Labs across India.

He has consulted with various organizations including PSU Banks such as Oriental Bank of Commerce, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Saurashtra, Punjab National Bank, RBI, BHEL, DRDL, ARCI and ASCI. He has successfully trained over 100 professionals on Project Management

Varghese is an Electronics and Telecomm Engineer with Masters in Advanced Electronics from JNTU Hyderabad. He has special research interest in Quality of Services in Networking. He is an amateur and ardent pianist, photographer and world traveler.

Joseph Daigle

General Manager (Philippines)
Joseph Daigle heads Virtify’s Philippines operations and also leads the technical architecture initiatives at Virtify. He has over 18 years experience in architecting, designing and implementing a number of solutions for emerging technology markets, including computing, semiconductor, healthcare and life sciences industries. Joe's strength lies in his detailed knowledge of Windows/NT, C#, .Net, XML & other internet technologies.

Most recently, Joe founded narraSoft, Inc, an offshore development company in the Philippines. Joe's professional experience also includes serving as Director of Development at Enmed where he was responsible for direction, productivity, schedule, product delivery and supervision of the development group of over 50 engineers. Prior to Enmed he worked as the principal software engineer for Teradyne where he designed and developed machine/process control software on Windows/NT 4.0 for proprietary machinery. Before Teradyne, Joe was a senior software engineer at Hewlett Packard/ Apollo Computer where he was a member of many development groups. As a senior software engineer in the Medical Products Group he helped design/develop "EnConcert", Windows/NT based Multimedia Clinical Information Management System utilized by over 800 healthcare professionals, generating over $25M in annual revenue. In the Distributed Object Computing Group, among other things Joe helped design/develop OLE interoperability with HP's ORB Plus, a CORBA-compliant object request broker that enables development of distributed applications using OO methodologies. As the principal project engineer for the CASE Tools Group, Joe developed and integrated transition tools from a proprietary configuration management product (HP/Apollo's DSEE) to an open third party (Atria's ClearCase). Joe also served as a senior software engineer in the DSEE Development Team where he contributed to the development of DSEE V4.0, incorporating a new Motif based interface, Heterogeneous Configuration Management capabilities, and rewritten documentation set.

Joe is proficient in development tools and technologies including .Net, C#, MS VS.Net 2003, .Net SmartClient Development, SQL & SQL Server 2000, XML/XSLT techniques, OO Analysis/Design/UML, Rational Unified Process, Microsoft VC++/ATL/MFC, COM/COM+ Components. Joe has an M.S. and a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Anmol Wassan

Head of US Operations and Services
Anmol Wassan heads Virtify's day-to-day operations, including project delivery, coordination of offshore product development activities, staffing and related project management. Prior to joining Virtify, he worked at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch. At Smith Barney, Anmol was part of Citigroup's Global Markets group in a team that provided customized solutions to high net worth clients. He was responsible for research on hedge funds, private equity and traditional money managers, a project to find new institutional clients and projects revolving around presentations to clients. At Merrill, Anmol was responsible for a project on a mechanical trading system method based on fundamental stock selection.

Anmol holds a bachelor of arts in business administration with a concentration in finance from Franklin & Marshall College. He also has a minor in computer science.

Michael Webb

Board Advisor
Michael Webb has over 24 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences. He is currently the CEO of Ascent Therapeutics, a venture-backed company focusing on developing oncology drugs. Prior to founding Ascent, he was the CEO of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1994 through 2005. During this period, EPIX grew from a venture-backed startup to the world leader in discovery and development of pharmaceuticals for imaging with MRI, achieving European approval for its lead product and completing numerous public financings and corporate partnerships including an IPO. Mr. Webb joined EPIX from CIBA, where he was most recently Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Strategic Planning of CIBA Diagnostics, responsible for global marketing, program management, corporate planning, business development and licensing. From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Webb was a senior consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, specializing in healthcare and life sciences.

Mr. Webb holds Bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Economics from the University of Kansas, summa cum laude and an MA in International Relations from Sussex University in the UK, completing his thesis on "Pharmaceuticals Policy and the World Health Organization." In addition, Mr. Webb holds an MBA degree with honors from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He currently serves on the Boards of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, where he is Vice Chair, the MassBioEd Foundation and the Kellogg Center for Biotechnology at Northwestern.

Joseph Gentile

Board Advisor
Joseph Gentile, Vice President and General Manager of BD Biosciences Discovery Labware, has over 25 years of experience in the high-technology medical device and life sciences industry. He is responsible for the strategic and operational restructuring of the company by re-focusing the business on the higher growth areas of drug discovery and proteomics while further developing, revitalizing and strengthening the core business of tissue culture and fluid handling. As a member of the BD Biosciences Leadership Team, he has joint responsibility for overall business performance and development including, business alliances, acquisitions and portfolio management. Prior to joining BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), of which BD Biosciences is one of four business segments, Mr. Gentile served as a member of Hewlett-Packard's core management team responsible for the determination of customer needs, product requirements and business structure for a major new business start up. During his tenure with Hewlett-Packard, he was responsible for the design and implementation of the Medical Group's Global Technology Strategy and management of a group-wide task force chartered with the design of a comprehensive resource allocation model for project, program and portfolio valuation. Mr. Gentile graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a minor in biology. He received a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Boston University.
